2014 was a busy travel year for ArcticTropic. In all, we travelled an equivalent of more than twice around the world. The voyage to Myanmar in March ,via Frankfurt and Singapore was to the opposite side of the world and back the same route. In May and June we travelled in a continuous Eastbound direction until we ended up back where we started. In contrast, the 2.5 hour hop to Panama was a mere commuter flight.
ArcticTropic travels to Myanmar this week. Tomorrow from Miami to New York. On Wednesday night we board a Singapore Airlines A380. On Thursday morning we stop in Frankfurt to refuel and take on passengers. Then many more hours across Eastern Europe and Asia with and early morning change of planes in Singapore. From there, another 3 hours to Yangon. After clearing customs and a brief exit from the airport, it will be a short hop on Air KBZ up to Bagan. Then a high adventure weekend on horseback and bicycle throughout the largest gathering of Buddhist temples in the world. The temperature should be a toasty 106 to 110. ( 41 to 44 ). Singapore Airlines has onboard wifi so follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
